Last 15th-16th April 2009 a representation of the Directorate General of Research of the European Commission as well as European researchers involved in the European Project IP NANOKER visited the facilities of the Foundation ITMA located in Aviles and Llanera (Asturias, Spain)
The Director of Foundation ITMA, Prof. Ramón Torrecillas, conducted the visit in both facilities and showed the equipments and resources available at Foundation ITMA and presented the research lines of this technological institute.
Foundation ITMA is involved in regional, national and international projects dealing with the development and upscaling of novel metallic and non-metallic materials and technologies and one of its research groups is specialized on nanomaterials.
