Safe handling of nanotechnology

Andrew D. Maynard and his co-authors propose in this article five grand challenges to stimulate imaginative, innovative and above all relevant research to the safety of nanotechnology.

The challenges span the next 15 years, and their successful achievement will depend on coordination, collaboration, resources and ingenuity, argue the authors.
